Did you know that the biotech sector in the Umeå region is blooming with plenty of future career opportunities?

At Meet Umeå Biotech we offer you the opportunity to learn more about learn more about the companies and their work, and mingle with the participating companies and other students. 

6 companies will do a 5-minute pitch about their business and future needs. After each pitch, we have a QA session before wrapping up the event with drinks, baguettes, and mingling with the companies.

Participating companies 

Note: This event is only for students at the following programs: Bachelor’s in Life Science, Master’s in Biotechnology, Master's in Molecular Biology, Master’s in Chemistry Master’s in Chemical Engineering, Bachelor’s and Master’s in Pharmacy, Bachelor’s in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Biomedicine.

We offer pitches, mingle and baguettes 

Meet Umeå Biotech takes place at Kempe, Stora Hörsalen, at Umeå University. We will start with the company pitches and then we mingle with baguettes and (non-alcoholic) drinks. 

The event is organized by the Industry Council for Life science at Umeå university. 

The industry council aims to promote collaboration and meeting points between the university in Umeå and the Life science industry.
The industry council has members from the following university programs: Apotekare- och receptarie, Biomedicinsk analytiker, Biomedicin, Bioteknik, Kemi, Life science, Molekylärbiologi and Teknisk kemi.
Companies in the council: Agrisera, APL, FOI, Knightec, Nordic Biomarker, UmanDiagnostics, and Umeå Biotech Incubator.
